When only 2 participants are connected (see right picture below), you see yourself in the local cam view without any delay and the video/audio is directly connected between both participants via the eyeson cloud service.
With the eyeson group video calls with more than2 participants all participants shown are present in the same video and audio stream (see left picture below). The audio and video streams are sent to our server and mixed there into one single stream before distributed to all participants.
When you are looking at your own video image at your desktop, mobile phone or tablet in this case, you even see yourself in the video which has already been sent to the server and received back from there while you are listening to your own voice in the moment you are talking.
This can give you the feeling that your voice is not in sync with the video.
Don't worry - your voice is EXACTLY in sync with your video for all participants of the meeting or webinar. Though, we filter your voice out for your local client for you.
This means that when you hear yourself talking, you are receiving the video actually a bit delayed (less than half a second). However, the audio is not received at all delayed from the server.
This is an effect of the single stream technology and specific for eyeson group calls. Other systems show during group video calls only your local cam preview while eyeson shows your video which has already passed the server.
